Our Christchurch based studio specialises in spatial concepts, interior styling, and E-Design. We are mindful of different decorating or design requirements and work hard to ensure a true understanding of each project by discussing your ideas, lifestyle and budget. We believe combining function with form is an essential component for achieving a well designed and refined home. Our design concepts are developed using vision boards showing key elements and style direction. Trends come and go quickly and we design with longevity in mind, so that in years to come your interior will still feel timeless.
deià (pronounced 'day-ah') was brought to life in 2020 by Maia Rewha and Bella Voogt. With a combined experience of eleven years within the design industry, we both felt a need to forge our own path, not only to lend design support to others, but to shine light on the importance of kaitiakitanga and designing without damage. We want to play our part in reducing the environmental impact by offering our clients a range of sustainable products and materials, in the hope of enriching lives for generations to come and supporting our beautiful taiao.

There is nothing quite like transforming a home and seeing my client's reaction – this is a huge part of why I love being in the interiors industry. Design, creativity and beauty, in all its forms is something I have always been drawn to. I have gained experience within a range of design sectors such as flooring, residential and commercial styling, visual merchandising, floristry, product sourcing, and, my forever favourite, interior design within both New Zealand and Australia.

The relationship between art and architecture is one that has always fascinated me. Starting off my career in graphic design, advertising and product photography, it wasn't until I stepped into the world of interiors, later becoming a head property stylist, I realised my allegiance to the tactile and tangible. The most beautiful part of being in this industry besides working with texture and colour is the ability to embrace the individuality of each client within the home.
